Homebase: Holland

First things first, let’s talk about Holland, our home away from home! After the long flight, we usually chill out for a few days—getting over that pesky jet lag, catching up with family, and, of course, enjoying some good food. Once we're settled and ready to roll, we jump in the car, pick a direction, and let the adventure unfold!

The Thrill of the Unknown

One of the best parts of our road trips is the thrill of the unknown. We often pick a destination, but the route? That’s totally up for grabs! We love stopping in those lesser-known towns that turn out to be amazing surprises. Seriously, some of these places are like hidden treasures—charming cafés, quirky shops, and friendly locals who are always up for a chat. Thankfully most people speak English :)

And let’s not forget about our luck with accommodations! Somehow, we always stumble upon the cutest, cosiest hotels or B&Bs. If we really vibe with a place, we’ll often extend our stay. Who wants to rush through paradise, right?

No long security lines or crazy layovers—just jump in the car and drive! It’s the perfect way to see different countries while keeping things budget-friendly and hassle-free.

• Scenic Drives: Driving through Denmark is like being in a postcard. We were treated to stunning views, charming villages, and fascinating history at every turn. It felt like every new road we took had something wowing us!

• Chill Evenings in Germany: After a day full of adventures, we loved winding down on lazy summer evenings in Germany. Just picture us sitting outside with a cool drink, watching the sunset, and reminiscing about the cool places we’d discovered.
