Advocacy and Resources

I seize every opportunity to participate in discussions, panel talks, podcasts, speeches, and similar events aimed at raising awareness about the Social Issues within the Indo Caribbean diaspora.  My goal is to empower my community by encouraging them to let go of any guilt or shame related to their experiences. I firmly believe that overcoming these feelings is the first step towards healing.

October is DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AWARENESS MONTH (#DVAM).

With nearly one in four women and one in seven men reporting that they have experienced violence from their spouse or partner,  Covid19 has made Domestic Violence & Sexual abuse an even greater pandemic all its own.

“HOME"'has made lockdown unsafe for survivors isolated with their abusers. Reports of Domestic Violence has increased in the US & throughout the world.

Domestic Violence & Sexual abuse can only end when we end the silence & speak out: removing the shame, blame and stigma can help support survivors & holds abusers accountable.

This October, for Domestic Violence Awareness month, let us use our voices & our platforms to say NO MORE!
